AWMDA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of a minimum of 7 elected
Directors-at-large serving three-year terms. Three directors, who are elected by
the Board each year, serve as Officers of the Association.
The Board of Directors meet monthly by phone, and in person as needed.
Responsibilities include overseeing the day to day operations of the organization, negotiations with government on issues
affecting the industry, promotion of the industry and providing information to the members and general public as required.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in conjunction with the
Annual Convention.
The Board of Directors oversees the
Code of Ethics, advises AWMDA members on
questions relating to the Code, and reviews any reports of violations to the code.
